Pre-launch draft. ReadyForOath is not on the App Store yet. This page takes effect when the app launches.
Accessibility at ReadyForOath
We want everyone preparing for U.S. citizenship to be able to use ReadyForOath, including people who use VoiceOver or large text, older adults, and people still learning English.
Our standard: we design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, adapted for iOS, and Apple's accessibility guidelines.
What we support:
- VoiceOver labels on every control
- larger text
- sufficient color contrast
- no information conveyed by color alone
- captions for every question the officer speaks
- reduced motion
- no time limits
Our testing log lives in the app's repository and is updated with each release.
Known gaps are listed here as we find them, with a target date for a fix.
Found a barrier? Email support@readyforoath.app with the subject "Accessibility". Tell us what you were trying to do and which iPhone setting you use (VoiceOver, text size, and so on). We reply within 2 business days, and we'll help you get what you need in the meantime.
